			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As a philosophy professor, I sometimes teach some &#8220;lite&#8221; intro courses, including &#8220;Philosophy in Science Fiction&#8221; and &#8220;Understanding Science&#8221;, as well as &#8220;heavy&#8221; courses (like, e.g., &#8220;Phenomenology&#8221;) which could use a little more lightness and connection to real life.</p>
<p>This site is an attempt at some ongoing but fleeting comments on such things, hopefully spurred by the real world &#8212; e.g., news stories about science, watching sci-fi movies, or just reflectively making observation about everyday embodied experience.</p>
<p>I dunno.  Maybe it will provide some input to and stimulation for teaching in these areas.  Maybe it will devolve into posting what I had for lunch.  And maybe I&#8217;ll make three posts and then let it die.  We&#8217;ll see.</p>
